How to save leads from Substack
A good newsletter issue often names five companies worth knowing. Save the article and pick the one you want to act on. Included on Solo and higher.
How to use it
- Open a Substack article
- Press Save in the row under the title
- Confirm the company (the publication, or the company the article is about)
The company lands in Saved leads within a second.
What to save on Substack
Save an article when it covers a company's raise, launch or strategy in detail, because that gives you something specific to mention when you write. The publication itself can be the lead too, if you sell to newsletter writers.
Where the Save button appears
In the like, comment and share row under the article's title, on any article at a substack.com address.
What gets saved
The title, subtitle, author, publication, the first 1,500 characters of the article, and its cover image.
What is never saved
Paid content you cannot read, comments, and subscriber counts. Substacks on their own domain (not substack.com) save by right-click instead.
How not to use it
Save every issue of a newsletter. Save the article that names a company you want to act on.
Which plans include it
Substack is included on Solo ($19 a month, unlimited saves), Power ($39 a month, unlimited saves) and Business ($99 a month, unlimited saves). Free covers X, YouTube and Instagram. Full details are on the pricing page.

Common questions
Which plan do I need for Substack?
Solo or higher. The Free plan covers X, YouTube and Instagram only.
Does it post or act on my Substack account?
No. It never posts, likes, follows or messages from your accounts, and it never opens tabs or browses on its own. It reads a page when you click Save.
Where do saves from Substack go?
Into Saved leads in your dashboard and in the side panel, filed under the company you confirm. They appear within a second.
What if the Save button doesn't appear on Substack?
Check that the extension is enabled and that you're on a supported page, then reload it. If Substack has changed its layout, the button can go missing until we update the reader. Troubleshooting shows how to check each site's recent success rate.
