How Save This Lead collects company data

Three things put a company into your workspace: you save it, Radar matches it, or you ask for research. This explains each one, what happens to the data afterwards, and what is never collected.

Three ways a company gets in

Way inWhat triggers itWhat it costs
SaveYou press the button on a post or pageNothing. No analysis runs and no credit is used
Radar matchYou scroll past a post containing a watched term, with collecting switched onNothing
ResearchYou press Research on a companyOne credit, refunded if no usable contact is found

All three start with something you did. Nothing is gathered from sites you haven't opened.

What a save reads

A save reads one post or page: the text, the author, the link and details of any media. Each site's guide lists exactly what is kept and what never is. On LinkedIn, for example, a save keeps the post text, the author's name and link, and the post link, and leaves messages, comments and contact details alone.

You confirm the company and can add a label and a note. Those stay in your workspace.

What happens in the background

Collected posts are analysed to identify the company, its industry and what happened. That analysis runs in a sweep twice a day and is what fills Market Intel. It doesn't use Research credits.

What Research does

Research is a deeper look at one company, and it only runs when you ask. It fetches the company's public pages and builds a profile from them. It also looks for the people who would own a buying decision, with their titles and an address for each.

Every address says how it was found. One confirmed on the company's own pages is marked differently from one guessed from a pattern such as first.last@domain, and a guess is not a delivery guarantee.

Contact discovery often finds no usable person. When that happens, the credit is refunded automatically. Save This Lead doesn't buy a contact database and doesn't promise a verified email.

What is never collected

  • Direct messages and private accounts.
  • Anything on a page you haven't opened.
  • Anything at all from Radar while collecting is switched off.
  • The body of your emails. A saved email keeps the sender, the subject and the addresses on it.
  • AI chats you didn't press Save on.

The extension also never posts, likes, follows, messages or browses on your behalf.

Who can see it

Your workspace, and nobody else's. Saves, notes, Market Intel and Research profiles belong to the workspace that made them. On Business, the people in that workspace share them.

QUESTIONS

The short answers.

Is all my browsing sent to Save This Lead?

No. It receives the posts you save, and posts that match your watched terms while collecting is switched on.

Can I turn collecting off?

Yes, with the switch in Settings. Saving by hand keeps working.

Does Research guarantee an email address?

No. It reads public pages and often finds no usable contact. When it finds none, the credit comes back.
