Best lead generation Chrome extensions 2026

If you need email addresses and phone numbers, pick a contact finder: Apollo, Hunter or Lusha for most teams, Kaspr or LeadLeaper if you live in LinkedIn, Evaboot for Sales Navigator exports. If you need to know which companies to contact this week, you need a signal tool next to it. Here are 11 extensions compared on what they do, where they work and what they cost, checked on 3 November 2026.

01Two jobs, two kinds of extension

Lead generation in the browser is really two jobs.

  1. Who do I write to? A contact finder answers this. You open a profile or a company site and it shows an email address or a phone number.
  2. Who should I write to this week? A signal tool answers this. It catches the moment a company raises money, launches, or starts hiring, so your message has a reason behind it.

Most extensions below do the first job. One does the second. Many teams use one of each.

03The contact finders, in one line each

  • Apollo.io is the default for most teams: a large contact database plus sequences. Its Chrome listing shows 1,000,000 users and a 4.6 rating.
  • Hunter is the simplest. Open a company's website and it lists the email addresses it knows for that domain. 700,000 users, rated 4.8.
  • Lusha is strongest on phone numbers. A phone reveal costs 5 credits.
  • ContactOut covers LinkedIn and Recruiter well, which suits recruiters as much as sales teams.
  • Kaspr and LeadLeaper work inside LinkedIn and are the cheapest ways to get emails from profiles.
  • Surfe is for teams that live in their CRM and want LinkedIn data to flow into it.
  • Evaboot does one thing: turns a Sales Navigator search into a clean spreadsheet.

04Where Save This Lead fits, and where it doesn't

Save This Lead is the signal side. It puts a Save button on posts and pages across 181 sites. One click files the company behind the post, with the post itself and your note, so you remember why you wanted to write. Radar flags posts that match words you choose ("Series A", "hiring SDRs") as you scroll.

Three things it doesn't do, said plainly:

  1. It doesn't find verified emails. Its Research credit looks for the right person and refunds the credit when nothing usable turns up.
  2. It doesn't watch the web while you're away. It only sees pages you have open.
  3. It's new. On 3 November 2026 its Chrome listing showed 3 users and no ratings yet.

A common setup is Save This Lead to decide who to contact this week, then Apollo or Hunter to find the address.

Note: Trigify closed its standalone platform on 22 October 2026 after its team joined HubSpot. If you used it for social signals, see what carries over.

05How to pick in three questions

  1. Do you mainly prospect inside LinkedIn? Then Kaspr, LeadLeaper or Surfe. If you use Sales Navigator, add Evaboot.
  2. Do you need phone numbers? Then Lusha, Kaspr or ContactOut.
  3. Do you already have contacts but no reason to write? Then you need signals, not more contacts. Start with a free signal tool and a free contact finder, and pay only for the one you use daily.
QUESTIONS

The short answers.

What is the best free Chrome extension for lead generation?

For email addresses, Hunter's free plan (50 credits a month) and Apollo's (900 credits a seat a year) are the most generous of the ones checked. For deciding which companies to contact, Save This Lead's Free plan is free forever.

Which Chrome extension finds emails on LinkedIn?

Kaspr, LeadLeaper, ContactOut, Apollo, Lusha and Surfe all show emails on LinkedIn profiles. Evaboot finds emails for Sales Navigator exports.

Is it safe to use lead generation extensions on LinkedIn?

LinkedIn's terms restrict automated scraping. Extensions that only read the page you open carry less risk than ones that browse or message on your behalf. Save This Lead never posts, likes, follows or messages.

What happened to Trigify?

Its team joined HubSpot and the standalone platform closed on 22 October 2026. Access, integrations and API stopped that day for most customers.
