How to save research from ChatGPT, Claude and other AI chats
You ask an AI about a company, get a useful answer, and a week later it's buried under forty other chats. If the answer was good enough to act on, it belongs next to the company in your lead list.
- 1Spot the answer
- 2Press Save
- 3It lands in your list

Why AI chats are worth your time.
AI assistants have become the first stop for company research. Ask what a company sells, who its competitors are or how to approach it, and you get a usable answer in seconds.
What they lack is memory you can organise. The answer lives in a chat with an unhelpful title, among dozens of others. Saving it puts the research where you'll look for it: on the company's record, next to the post or page that made you curious.
The signals worth saving.
A company summary
What they sell and who buys it, in a paragraph you can reread before a call.
A list of similar companies
Each name on it is a possible lead.
An outreach angle
A reason to write that you wouldn't have thought of.
A market overview
Background you'd otherwise look up again next month.
A quick test before you press Save.
Save it
- A clear summary of what a company does
- A list of competitors or similar companies
- An approach or angle you want to use later
Skip it
- Answers you plan to quote and haven't checked
- Anything containing a client's confidential details
- Long back-and-forth where only the last answer matters
How to do it.
- Ask your question as usual in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Grok or DeepSeek.
- Press the green Save icon under the answer you want to keep.
- Name the company the answer is about.
- Check the facts before you rely on them. In other AI tools, highlight the text, right-click and choose Save selection.
Prompts whose answers are worth saving
What does [company] sell, and who buys it? Give your sources.
List ten companies similar to [company] in [country], with one line on each.
Replace the parts in brackets with your own.
Before a call, an account manager asks ChatGPT what Northstar AI sells and who it competes with. The answer is good, so she presses the Save icon under it and names Northstar AI. After the call she opens the company's record and the summary is there beside her notes.
An invented example. The people and companies in it are fictional. When to follow up.
Save the answer when you get it. Chat histories are hard to search, and the same question asked next month may get a different answer.
Whatever the channel, set a follow-up date in On Radar when you save. A lead without a date is a lead you'll rediscover in three months.

What to avoid.
The short answers.
Are my chats read in the background?
No. Only an answer you press Save on is kept, Radar AI doesn't watch chats, and a saved answer never appears in anyone else's Market Intel.
Which AI tools have a Save button?
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Grok and DeepSeek. In other tools, highlight the text, right-click and choose Save selection.
How much of the chat is saved?
One answer, up to 3,000 characters, with the question that prompted it, up to 600, and the chat's title.
Is it safe for my accounts?
Save This Lead never posts, likes, follows or messages, and it never browses on your behalf. It reads a page when you press Save.
What does it cost?
There's a free plan, and paid plans start at $19 a month. The plan each site needs is in the table above and on the pricing page.
